Went here two days in a row. Their drink and dessert menu is amazing! I don't eat meat so I cannot speak about their burgers. However, their ched r' peppers and mozzarella sticks are oh so yummy! Their service wasn't bad, waited about 4 mins. Also had the strawberry cheesecake shake and molten cake (delish!). Only thing lacking is that it would have been nice if they came out on roller skates (defeats the purpose of what they're know for).

Slower service than what I'm used to and some broken credit card readers that aren't fixed for months. Other than that, it's delicious drive in foods. Cherry limeade forever.

I really feel sorry for this location. On .50 corndog day when it should be packed there's three cars in the stalls and the place looks like a ghost town. We had ordering issues in the past in the same was true today. It doesn't matter how you order it it's a very long time for you to get your food. Cherry limeade's been up to over two dollars and I didn't see a dollar menu any longer. This is in a great location right by Woodmans and up-and-coming neighborhood and there's hardly any business. There are also no servers on roller skates at this location. The atmosphere is kind of depressing.

A throwback to the 1950s drive-in version of fast food, with a wider choice of unhealthy fried foods than you would have had back then. Here in the land of "Happy Days," it seems like it should be a requirement to stop in a place like this at least once in a while. Their Chicago style hot dogs are almost Chicago hot dogs, and their ice cream desserts are almost as good as any of the independent Milwaukee frozen custard stand sundaes. What I like about this place is this place is that they are nice to my college students, who are admittedly not necessarily the best of customers. A student club might park themselves at one of the outdoor picnic tables for a couple of hours, only some of them will eat, but all will order cups of water. Still, they've always been treated well, so I appreciate the customer service. I also like the tater tots.

First time coming here and definitely the last. I drive up and nobody greeted I said hello a few times, after a couple minutes a girl came on and finally took my order, she gave me the total and told me to drive around. I do as instructed and I see two young girls just chatting away. One of the girls eventually glanced at me and said something to the other one and they both laughed. The other girl opened the window and extended her hand out for payment. She didn't utter a freakin word! She just stared! I gave her my money and the two little bit*#es continue giggling and chatting away! Unbelievable!!! I get my change and my drink and she simply said, "here." I wanted to tell them both off on how rude and stupid they were behaving but was still waiting on my food! I finally get my food from the giggly girl that first "noticed" me. And she said thanks for stopping at sonic or some sh#t. I drive off get back to work (3 minutes away TOPS) My fries were actually pretty good but the burger?! It was cold and sloppy, no taste, I took solace in my fries until I saw a friggin HAIR!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Those two girls should've been taught how to give customer service. They were disgustingly rude and the food was garbage!

I was hoping for a better experience at this location since I had pretty bad ones at the Miller Park Way one (and I only went there a handful of times.) When I have been here, the wait time is pretty much outrageous... Even with only one or two other cars there. I've been given a breakfast sandwich that was mostly burnt and inedible. Their cheeseburgers reminded me of the ones I had in school cafeterias. Their fries are okay, a bit salty but not bad. The tots are usually pretty safe as well. I can definitely see why this location always looks vacant... no one wants to come back.

Most of these reviews seem to be from 2011, so I'm guessing they must have improved their service since then. I am not gonna say this is the best restaurant ever, but it's a solid burger joint with super friendly service! Every time we've gone their our food is hot and out to us in less than 5 minutes! I'm a fan of the grilled chicken sandwich with some delish tots on the side! And the java chillers? Spectacular. Coffee and ice cream blended in harmony will win me over any day. What I also enjoy about Sonic is they have DDP. For those of you who aren't in the know, that's Diet Dr Pepper. Its like my liquid crack (Woodman's being my solid crack) If you're in the area and want a yummy sandwich with awesome tots and some darn good ice cream to go with it, I suggest Sonic!

OHHH SONICCCC. How I have missed you! I love Sonic in general, and am only docking a star off because our roller chica messed up our order and seemed easily confused. But the food was delicious! I SO missed my tater tots! But heads up, their cheese pepper things are disgusting, so don't bother.

I finally tried Sonic for the first time and enjoyed it. I like that Sonic's menu is extensive, as you can get burgers, mozzarella sticks, chicken tenders, slushes, and shakes. I enjoyed my Bacon cheeseburger on toast. It was a yummy first choice, and I paired it with onion rings that were light and crispy, with a hint of sweetness I've never tasted before in onion rings. I loved the carhop service! And since I came during a blizzard in the middle of winter, I was doubly impressed that my carhop girl braved the snow a second time just to ask how everything was! I can't wait for summer now, just to sit in my car with the windows open, enjoying Sonic at the carhop!

After three seperate times of going to Sonic and have them mess up my order, this last time yesterday was the last straw. I order 2 coney dogs and 2 Chicago dogs for my friends and I. We wait 20 minutes. I get 2 plain hot dogs and 2 orders or chili cheese tots with a piece of long brown hair in it... so nasty. Never again will I go here. I wish I could give it less then a star.
(1)Ginger G.
Will not be going back. Got the sweet potato tots for $3.09 and there were only like 10 in the cup. They also got our order wrong :-(
(1)Richard S.
Finally went back yesterday and had the Double Cheeseburger, Tots and Chocolate Malt. It was as good as my friends said!
(4)Dani K.
Please, I beg you, please drive down Howell more to Culver's than eat here if you want a hamburger. Please. I've been here four times (since third time's the charm didn't work, I gave it another shot) and every single time is the same: horrible. It really sucks, too, because the whole concept of it is really, really awesome. They just don't have the bite to back up their bark. --- -The tots and fries are cold and mushy. -The burgers have zero flavor with how much crap they put on there. -The fish sandwich was cold and flavorless. -The soda and shakes were cold...like they were supposed to be, so I'll give them that and only that. Don't be surprised, though, if your soda is warm because it's opposite day everyday here.
(1)Mariah M.
The Sonic's in Florida are WAY BETTER! That being said, I believe that the workers/management do not care about the food coming out or the products for the customers. Cold, hard burgers, soggy fries and onion rings that are more like dessert than a salty, onion ring. The only good thing is the Cherry-Limeades.
(1)Rae L.
I went here ONCE for the "grand opening" in West Milwaukee. Yuck! Not impressed at all! Greasy hamburgers, greasy tater tots, grease overload! Barf...
(1)Ari S.
I have heard a lot about Sonic. So my hopes weren't to high. It is your typical fast food joint, except instead of a drive through they roller skate it out to you. The staff was very nice. The menu was huge, and they also offered breakfast. Their prices were typical for fast food. The one thing I did enjoy was they have a great drink menu. Way more than you typical soda and water.
(3)Ann Y.
My husband and I have been taunted with Sonic comercials in the Chicagoland area with no Sonic is sight. Finally we headed out to Milwaukee to visit a friend to find out that Sonic was down the street. At first I was a little confussed as it seemed like all the drive up windows were taken. Well I took a chance and drove around the building and found my spot. We drooled over the menu and I ordered a regular sonic cheeseburger with TOTS...yes Napolean...TOTS! I was so extatic. I also ordered a chocolate banana shake. My husband ordered the double burger with cheese, tots and a choclate shake and larged his up. Fist, I must say that for fast food, seriously this is one of the BEST burgers I have EVER had. t was awesome. My tots were cooked perfectly and my chocolate shake had REAL bananas in it. I loved every minute of it and the servers on skates is just an awesome touch! I can't wait to go back.
(5)J B.
This place is nothing special. My mozzarella sticks were just barely warm and the marinara sauce that was served with it was pretty awful. Rick James and Daft Punk was blasting from somewhere. I thought it might've been the minivan next to us, but apparently there is something called Sonic Radio. For a truly authentic drive-in experience and much better food, drive down to The Spot in Kenosha.
